My Revised Layout w/First Layer of Scenery
« on: April 30, 2023, 05:45:59 pm »
Just thought I'd share a couple of overall picture and a short video of my revised live steam railway layout. Tearing almost everything apart and rebuilding it into a folded dogbone type layout that I can walk into without ducking down has made a world of difference to my back. Apologies for the quality of the camera work but it doesn't seem to like the led lights very much.

Having seen this rail set-up 1st hand a can tell you have done a real overhaul from what you had when I was there, nice work Larry. 😊

And thanks to everyone else for their nice comments also. The live steam railway seems to keep drawing me back after I've gone off on another tangent as usual. I got in a hurry to set up the camera and make the video so didn't follow my usual procedure of sending a less dear loco around first to make sure the track is clear of obstructions. This almost ended in disaster but I got lucky - won't happen again! Apparently the cord came loose when I was working on the upper layout.

Larry

Yes indeed, that one is a real beauty, and I expect it is a capable hauler as well.

That's a helluva train room!  Beautiful locomotives!  Do you have any vintage Bing or Marklin?
