Weeden No.1 exhaust lines
« on: March 09, 2023, 10:31:29 pm »
A visitor to my site inquired why there would be holes drilled in the exhaust lines, perhaps to relieve back pressure?

I believe it's to let the water out so it doesn't have to push it through, easier on the cylinder. the Wilesco smoking chimneys are nice to look at...but pushing all that condensate 8"-10" robs considerable power from the engine imho.

Might be a simple water/steam separator to keep water from spewing out the stack.
