Daniel, you may have gotten me into trouble, we will be in Paris for a short time this fall, somehow I have got to convince my better half that this is an important stop in our schedule.

Perhaps you could beguile her with an offer to show her some of the sources for all the modern conveniences that she now enjoys. That and a promise of a fine meal afterwards might just get you in the door for a few minutes!!!
