18hp Goold Shapley & Muir from 1899

Filmed this lovely engine at a friend's shop today--much too big for my stable

Thanks for the video Brent. Would be fun to have one of these engines, but a collection of them would probably be a lot of work! Not too easy to move around or store  :D

Their size doesn't bother my friend at all. With a large building, truck and trailer, forklift, engine lift, and pallet jacks he moves them around with ease. Too big for me though.

I’ve had many full-size steam friends tell me to become friends with engine owners and play with their toys instead, cheaper and easier  :D
