Recently modified an old Nikon slide copying attachment to accept my little Canon pocket digital. Also been doing some slide shows recently to while away the evenings of Wuhan Flu sequestering. Add two and two together and you get some pictures of old slides.

October 1982 a ways north of the little town of Happy Camp on the Klamath River, which was at least partially devoured, and probably everything green in any of these photos, is now black, as the Slater fire burned through in the early part of last month, right when I was actually planning to be there for the 50th anniversary of the first summer I spent up there. Glad I didn't go, as the difficult dead end road up into that box canyon would have trapped me for sure, and the wind driven fire storm that went through burned 120,000 acres in the first 24 hours!

We’re doing our best! but right now we have to stick to the bigger parks with paved trails for the stroller. Still more traveling and adventuring than I did as a kid.

Nice to see photos of what must have been a fun adventure .
