And, of course, comparisons to UFO style
maneuvers and speed as reported are ludicrous.
Really, as medium bombers go, it was a fast one. 

  The airmen had to gripe about something and
the short-wingspan did make takeoffs and landings
exciting (dangerous).  They jokingly said it
had no visible means of support, and said it in
an off-color way, not unlike UFO's that make
'impossible' maneuvers.  Both, at the time of
observation, defied observed experience.
