Ebay needs a good kick in the pants.
« on: August 27, 2020, 08:45:50 pm »
This situation where Ebay allows its sellers to sell goods that they do not have and generate a false tracking number and log the item as sent is getting out of hand.
They must know it is going on but will not stop it.
But they continue to pretend it is all ok.
They continue to shove the "You are entering into a binding contract" line down our throats when bidding but choose to ignore it when the item is not received.
Ebay are just as responsible for this as the sellers.

I will step down from my soap box now.

Hand in hand with that is when a seller has a US location and 10 days later a package from China shows up. I don't care where the account is located, but where the product is located. Or when I order from Ebay and my item is delivered from Amazon.

Its a shi##y scam and the Chinese are the biggest that are onto it IMO.

They state that the item is in Australia and its a load of bullshi#, you buy it and as you said get a BS tracking number and weeks later it arrives from China.

And eBay have to know about it.

Agreed, but as much as I hate eBay when it comes to stuff like this, I have to admit I wouldn’t have the collection without it!

The problem I have with it is it is false advertising and tne sellers are flat out lying. If Ebay cannot see the issues with it they should take the blindfold off.

Ebay,s solution to a seller who fails to deliver goods is to wait for the seller to deliver despite the delivery date being missed by over a month. What a joke, they are enabling chinese sellers to rip people off

Have to agree! I waited 3 1/2 mo for an item from china before ebay would finally make the seller refund my money. On the other hand, as a U.S. seller, ebay penalizes me if the sold item doesn't arrive to my customer in 3 days or less, and the customer can expect a refund within 10 days.
But who said life was fair, anyhow!
Also, we are partly to blame, since many times I find myself ordering something from a china seller who has the lowest price. These items sometimes even state a delivery date 2 weeks to months off, and we of course hope for the 2 week end of that time frame.
I noticed an engine auction I recently won from Jin on ebay had a delivery date of up to months away, but of course it arrived in under 10 days. So there are reputable sellers from China.
But I have to agree with your assesment that ebay really doesn't care about anything but those who bring them the most income.

The worst is when I go out of my way to select US only on the filters and the item arrives from China 😡
