eBay video attachment help needed please
« on: November 27, 2019, 07:23:41 am »
as per the title, I'm looking for guidance / help on how to embed a YouTube video into an eBay listing ,or at least attach a direct link. I used to be able to do this, but have either forgotten, or they have changed things. i'm confident we have plenty of Savvy people here that can help me with this 😉👍

Bruce, may not be optimum...but I cut and paste the eBay link directly into the text describing what I am selling.  The link looks cumbersome but it does work.

I have not sold on ebay for over a couple years, but it seems like they are always changing the rules and the videos have to be embedded different all the time. Not sure why they make it so difficult for youtube videos as it can greatly increase the sale price... maybe because they want to charge more for you to post lots of pictures?

What I have always done in the past when needing to figure this out is go on youtube and search "how to embed video into ebay ad 2019" and a video usually comes up explaining what to do and they usually include all the technical codes/crap in the video description. It is important to include the current year, otherwise you will get lots of out-dated videos that will teach you ways that no longer work on ebay. If you know how to filter the youtube videos by date, that will also help you get the newest one...

Maybe this one will help? or make it more confusing? I do know that you cannot get the videos to actually play in your ad... when they click on your video from the ad it will open a new window
