Geoff did nice work with brass and rivets and the videos were fun to watch.

I really don't think Geoff will ever be forgotten - he touched so many lives with his wonderful work and postings.

Here here. I've got three of Geoffs chuff pots which are the most precious part of my steam collection, I used to have a water tank but I sold it, wish I'd kept it now... :-\

His laid back videos were legendary and so was the man. I'll bet he's already got a workshop up there with Bernie (BK).

Jim,  why don't you make a tread here with a sort of video wall with Geoffrey videos, or a selection of, that would be a great tribute to the man?
I'm sure he will look at it with a great smile.
And this way he also will be part of the new forum

Geoff was one of a kind...a gentleman and a superb craftsman.  At the core of my Jensen 51 replica I had a triple pulley that was wearing oblong after a couple of hundred hours running.  Geoff made me an even better one than I started with and suggested a change to green rubber belting.  At 350 hours now on that engine...150 or more on Geoff's pulley and same green belting, without a smidge of wear to the pulley.  Traded him another engine for one of his beautiful nickel plated chuff pots.  I still have that chuff pot and always will, think of him every time I gaze at it.

I was very sad when i read about Geoff's passing, i will certainly treasure my only chuff pot i bought from him all those years ago.
My fondest amusing anecdote with Geoff was his love for that awful pink salmon paint that Jensen used on their fireboxes!!
