Thanks for the videos Lenn.

That's a nice grouping with open sights.

Were you shooting at 100 yards?

I stick with modern stuff.  I have a .308 Sniper Rifle made for the FBI Counter-terrorism Unit.  It's the most accurate rifle I have owned, but its very heavy and not for carrying around.  It will shoot sub-one inch groups at 300 yards.  I have a 1,000 yard range on my ranch and enjoy the long range bench shooting with steel targets.

Not really open sights Charlie, as the Garand carries an aperature peep sight that is fully adjustable for elevation and windage, which makes quite a difference as compared to true "open" sights.

But yes, that is a nice group Lenn has shot from a rifle 3/4 of a century old, using "iron" sights as opposed to a scope. Many folks with far more modern rifles with fine scopes would not do nearly as well!!!
