I wished I had my photos of my grandfather to post - they are all in Texas.

He lied about his age, joined the Army Air Corps at 16 years old and flew in B-17s.  He could have stopped at 25 missions but continued until the end, actually past V-E Day as he was stationed in Germany for a bit.  He didn't really talk about his service, until he got into his 80s and then only very little.  One thing that stuck with me was when he was stationed in Germany it really hit him hard the destruction that the bombing missions caused and that utter destruction never left him.

RIP - I miss him dearly but I am so blessed that all my kids were able to visit him and where able to know my "Pee-Paw".

Thank you to all our Veterans, past & present.
Richard
