Winter Came Back
« on: April 11, 2019, 02:11:54 pm »
Was sunny and high 40's a few days ago, I picked up every stick that fell over winter, aerated and over-seeded my lawn and then this happened

50mph winds, power is out, telephone poles across the road, so what do you do? Show old man winter that you're not afraid

WOW you really got it bad. We just got a little snow and it melted.
I will have to check with my daughter in the U.P. and see how bad
it got her last night.

Western MN was supposed to get 20+ inches, we ended up with a lot of ice on top of 6-8 inches

We are also being told by the weather man not to eat the snow because it has a layer of dust/dirt blown in from Texas and New Mexico... I'm headed back out with the shovel to see if it sent up any of Charlie or Scott's Doll accessories  ;D ;D

(it's much whiter under the top layer)

We're actually forecast to get a spit of snow here as well tonight, but I doubt it will be enough to stick, let alone shovel. Mountains behind us are still looking pretty good though, so we will have water this year for sure.

Nick, you crazy Minnesotan, you look awesome on those skis, I would have thought the state would have had you plowing snow.

I didn't want anything getting pinched off between the skis in a bad landing

They are backcountry skis with a metal edge... would be like a giant pair of scissors  :o

Youngest son is home from his trip to St Paul, he was talking to someone there yesterday and they mentioned the snow.

Nope, I don't make the big bucks working for the state, I just help an old friend during the winter
