A Doll 354/4
« on: October 01, 2021, 02:13:55 pm »
… a final finish of restoring a Doll 354/4.
The main restoration was already done in 2019, but last week the last missing part arrived, the chimney.
The engine was in a very sad state when it arrived in 2019.

The nikkel ring between burner house and boiler was broken and a lot of other stuf needed attention.
This was not an easy restoration but the result is satisfying.

All that lasted was to present the engine in a video, enjoy…

Cheers,
Danny

Super, Danny, and very pleasing to see that I am not the only one who is fumbling with the governor belt while the engine is running...! ;)

Really nicely done   I love seeing these come back to life!

Good Job!
Love steam engines, especially older German made.  Love the more clockwork style.  Addicted to this stuff!
