I started assembly.
I think I will desolder the steam line and install one made by me with brass tube. The old one was cut short 40 years ago.

When I assembled the red tray, the nuts flaked the paint. I touched it up with paint. It's the underside. I may repaint the red. While I did degrease, and I used etching primer, I wonder how well the paint is sticking since I didn't score the surface with sand paper since it wasn't rusty.

I hope the nuts didn't  peel paint due to the type of paint (car engine paint). I prefer paint for car bodies as it adheres and dries well.

Another possibility is the chilly day. I wonder if the paint was fully cured. I fixed my heating pad, so I will warm the metal thru the night.
