Making something that looks somewhat close to those old lamps hanging from the canopy took some thought.
My first thought was to use cylinder end caps of 1930's vintage Doll engines. That probably would have worked fine.
After a bit of searching, I came across some solid brass fittings and 12mm glass globes on eBay. I used cut-down plastic tapered stoppers to secure the globes to the "shades".
One good thing about parts like this that aren't permanently affixed, I can change them out if something better comes along.
