• Many of you no doubt saw this Doll Ferris Wheel on eBay recently.  I put in a snipe bid and won by the smallest of margins.
  
  The toy is in very good shape but is missing a few parts.
  
  I hope to chronicle here a moderately successful restoration journey.

  The base may be original paint. I cannot see that any re-paint or touch-up has been done anywhere on it.
  
  Where the uprights meet the base look to be original.

• Well, finally decided to source some parts from this 729/2 Karusell.  I needed the big driving wheel and the toothed gear.
  
  Fortunately the distance from the big wheel gear to the toothed gear were identical on the smaller 729/2 and the big 729/5.  Right at 5mm apart.

  Has to be a tough decision to make... will you try to copy the parts and bring the smaller one back someday?
