Finally finished my Stuart Steam Plant that I think is from the late 1920's - early 1930's. It has a Stuart 500 boiler that has no bushes for the piping, a Stuart S-50 engine that has a solid crank disc, and a Stuart generator with large insulated (?) wire on the winding on the armature. Everything works except the light bulb which is possibly because right now I'm relying on the generator to base to lamppost to light bulb connection for the other side of the circuit. Might look into it later but it's not a big deal for me. Used Rustoleum Clear Hi Temp on the boiler (didn't work out on the brass base for some reason) and clear brass lacquer on the brass base which should help to keep the shine a little longer. It was a fun project and now on to others that I have put off for one reason or the other - the next has been sitting for six years - maybe just a little procrastination on my part.
