I've got an old Cranko roller which is missing a couple of bits which I’d like to make.

If anyone can let me know:
the measurements of the chimney (just need total height and height of flare)
The thread for the safety valve.
How the rear wheels are held on.

Been a while since we have seen you around

Back wheels are held on with a circle type C clip made from soft wire.
That sits in the groove in the axle
Safety Valve main thread is 1BA and spring retainer nut is 8BA
Chimney height is tube 62 mm
Flare has width of 27 mm
Depth of 5 mm
Chimney is made from flat tin which is rolled and spot welded to fit over the chimney cup on boiler
Flare is separate and soldered on about 2 - 3 mm down
 I can make all parts if you have any problems

Chimney looks pretty basic. I’ve done much rolling of sheet metal so should be a good learn.

It looks like the sheet metal is quite thin, looks like about 1mm?

I was going to copy the design of a safety valve from another Cranko I've got, it looks about the same as ones I’ve seen in photos.

Found my other “Cranko” engine I was planning on using as a sample for the safety valve, but it doesn’t seem to have one?

Made something that should work, although spring may be a bit strong. Will test on air and adjust if required.

Yep, & I’m not sure how many of the parts are actual Cranko.

The filler plug on it (which I’ll replace with a safety valve) looks like it’s ME thread.

Runs really well.
