Bonjour Philip,
As you can see it in my Playlist
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q91Ju0Peu2Q&list=PLCVcZL8L7sBJ-ILRmMDuBQk9Jz-aOd-AE I have several of these engines and have never been either able to start one at first test
Gil even helped me a lot for one of them and learnt me what to check
If you have compression, a spark at top dead center and gas, the first thing to check is that gas arrives to the carburator when you obstruct it with a finger.
If so, open the needle valve only to 1/4 turn and use a drill to launch the engine. It is better to have a poor mixture at the beginning, even if it means enriching it, rather than drowning the spatk plug.
Let us know if you did like that and the result.
