Some time ago I purchased a package of green drive band material.
It worked well and was easy to make custom lengths as the ends
could be welded together with a small flame.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to order some more?
If they have different colors black would be better...but green
is ok. I have a workshop project where I need a bunch. I have
to get it running and videotaped at least once before I sell it.
I think it is pretty rare.
Thanks,
Wayne
Oops. Here is a photo of the band.
The green is textured and designed to slip.
ebelting.com has all kinds of choices, including brown which kind of resembles leather.
Good info...great strength test, Nick. Any tips on welding technique for these bands?

Supposed to just melt, I just light both ends on fire, blow it out and stick them together. That test was done after holding them together for only about 5 seconds. They join together fast and strong
You could trim the extra off that melts out, but I roll it between my asbestos fingers while it’s still hot 😂
I didn't realize that the green melty belting was also available in brown. Thanks for the link!
Nick...thanks for the second links. I was unable to fumble
my way to the brown belting but now I'm on the same page.
And, yes, just melt the ends a bit in a flame, stick them
together, make a little blob, and roll it between your fingers.
Great stuff. Brown should be perfect. I'll be rolling up a
storm of 'em in this season for my workshops. Setting up,
running accessories, and making videos is as much fun as fixing
up an old engine to running condition.

This is better than the green, it is softer/smooth, not textured. If you look close at the green it’s textured to slip in a jam up.
I was going to buy some of this 2mm belting, $20.00 shipping for a $28.00 item....pass

I bought 3 rolls and the shipping stayed at $20.01
Every time I display at a show, half my roll leaves with the other guys displaying 😂

Had a hard time tracking it down, but made this 13 years ago...
