Very cool, Bruce!

Here’s an original that have.
Wow Mike, I didnt know they made one like that, must have been waaay back in the day , I knew of the sticker can of a few years ago. that is neat !

I’m not sure exactly when they made these original oil cans, but I knew they still had parts on hand to produce more and I tried to buy one when I visited the factory in 2017, but they wouldn’t sell anything then. When the cans were offered in the last couple years, they sold out before I could order one. I’d really like to know if those recent offerings had the name stamped on the bottom.
I seriously doubt if they had the latest batch made with they're name imprinted in the bottom , but I can find out.

Someone who purchased a couple of those recent oil cans posted here about them, but I can’t remember who it was and I can’t find the thread either. I was under the impression that the recent oil cans were produced from new old stock parts, so that’s why I’m curious about the name stamped on the bottom.

Not sure about Tim, but 2 of my friends from Cabin fever both bought one...I'll call one of them tomorrow.

it appears to me they used the same brand/Co. but no Jensen MFG. engraving on the bottom as before.

Very interesting, Bruce! It’s good that the early ones can be distinguished from the later ones. A friend of mine collects oil cans and he told me that a pump oiler like that with the three ribs is pretty scarce in any form.

If anyone has an extra one of the recent issue oilers that they would part with, I’d sure be interested!😁

I tried to look up champion mfg. And came up empty , I was told that a small order of about 20 oil cans were made in the last order a few yrs back and that they were gone in just a few days.
How did you find (or even know about) the one you have Mike ?

The one I have I found on eBay within the last year. I had to pay a pretty good price for it, and as far as I could tell, I was just competing with other oil can collectors. I don’t remember how I first heard about Jensen’s oil can venture, but I had been looking for one ever since.
