I see you also have the drill press functioning off the bottom stud (as designed) I am currently getting ready to do that myself....I would love to know how you proceeded with that. your stanchions are lovely & very elegant. I noticed you also put a grinding wheel on one of the table saws...I have yet to be able to get the saw blade off of the table saw , would be interested in how you did that as well, Very well done Bill & an outstanding job thus far, cant wait to see everything painted up slick & the finished Jensen #200
Bruce this is how I modified the Drill press, I feel a little bad about modifying it as there is not an unlimited supply.
I cut this shaft off leaving just a nub, then filed it flat.

Next I found a piece of Brass tubing that was a nice fit over the nub, and transfer punch that fit the tubing.

Whapped it with the hammer.

and proceeded to drill and tap it.

I turned a double pulley, drilled and bored it to accommodate a shoulder screw.
