A play day at the Cardiff Model Engineering Society.
« on: March 28, 2022, 02:53:47 am »
Hi,

Yesterday, here in old South Wales the sun shone and a young member of the CMES got to drive a steam locomotive for the first time.  Pupil to instructor in around two hours!

Take care Tony.

What a fascinating video, I loved it.  I noticed the boy didn't pull out a phone and started
getting distracted, no that young fella listened and learned, good for him.
That park, is it owned by a club or a group of clubs. Or is it a public park. I can't imagine
the amount of money that went into designing, engineering, and building it, not to mention the
maintenance.
The bucket list just got longer.
  Thanks Tony.
Tommy

It is in a public park the land being leased from the local authority, during the year there are public open days which help finance the society.  More information at : https://www.cardiffmes.co.uk/

I am fortunate in living less than a mile from the park.

Take care Tony.
