hello fellow steamers.
here we have a 1945-47 #25 Jensen steam engine gifted to me from Charlie Miller(when he came to visit). It has a Jed P. custom heavy duty boiler (brand new) with a SPS custom pressure gauge mounted up front, I put a new heater in it, adjusted the timing & valving, fixed some leaks in the cylinder assembly & here we have it. these non-reversers run the best because they don't need to compromise between forward & reverse. I think it's really special that someone taped the original instructions underneath the base. Thanks again Charlie for such a special gift!

That is certainly a very special gift, made even better by the ministrations of the SPS shop!

Bruce, I have seen a number of similar Jensens, but none that run as smooth as you have that one going...fine tuning takes time, but the results are well worth it.

This engine looked just like this when I got it, Charlie had done all the hard work already, I just adjusted/tuned a few things. Charlie & I thank you for the compliments.

Very nice! I like the old non reversing engines. I think part of the reason that they run so nice is not having the drag of the reversing linkage.
Best Regards
