OKMO R02 Denny Improved Ericsson Stirling Engine with Modifications

I made a new wooden plinth for this engine, made a larger copper cooling water tank and redid the piping for the new tank.
Greatly extended the run time with the larger cooling tank.

"John Ericsson, builder of the ironclad USS Monitor, developed many different hot air engines beginning in 1826. An 1888 engine patent then was built by the Rider Ericsson Company. In 1895, a patent was issued to Harmer Denney for the Denney Improved Ericsson Hot Air Pumping Engine. These engines were built especially for pumping liquids and not any other service, due to their low horsepower".

Thanks for the detailed explanation, Jim ... much appreciated mate!

I actually knew about that at one point, but seems it slipped my memory banks when I was viewing your post!?!?
