Steam Cave Tour Filmed with my DJI Osmo Pocket
« on: April 07, 2019, 03:02:38 pm »
This morning I made a video with my DJI Osmo Pocket of my Steam Cave Workshop and Engine Display.

I decided not to edit any of the video so that you can see the performance of the camera.

At the beginning of the video, I included some footage that I shot in January 2018 with my iPhone so that you can compare and contrast the video quality.  And as you will see the space has grown quickly as has the collection housed here.

I hope you enjoy the video.

Nice one Charlie ... I could easily spend a day or three in your Steam Cave!

Difference between the old part of the video and the new was the difference between a  foggy day and one that is clear and sunny!!!

Charlie, what a difference in clarity with your new camera...wow.

Only problem I see with that video is the sparseness of your steam cave...you need a few more engines and accessories me thinks!!!!!

Seriously, one of the best collections I have ever seen...simply wonderful.

Agree on the clarity of the video.

This camera is awesome!

All I have done since I got it is experiment with it and watch YouTube videos about it. 🤩

Thank you Rog. I noticed that I missed several shelves when filming. Oh well, more for another ideo, plus all the engines in the house. This was just the garage (about half the current collection).

The Temple of Steam was pretty awesome back in the day.

Now that you have sold most of your engines you have lots of room for more. 😎

Your collection (half of it) is awesome - one of about everything I could wish for is there. The difference between the camera and your smartphone is amazing - I really didn't expect the DJI Osmo to be that much better but it surely is. Well done and thanks for sharing!

Larry

Thanks Larry.

I am working on a video of the Steam Den and the other “inside” engines. I will work in the ones I missed in the Steam Cave, including my Stuart Collection (on the shelf below the Doll Engines).

Very nice tour you gave us there Charlie...

Really enjoyed seing your "cave", nicely organised...and WOW...what an amazing amount of treasures you´ve accumulated there.
The new camera works very well indeed, and is a huge upgrade compared to the Iphone opening sequence.

Thanks for sharing !!!
Cheers

Certainly the steam cave has progressed, as has your collection, in the year since I've known you.

Very enjoyable Charlie, thank you for taking the time to show us all your steam cave.
I bet you have a terrific time whiling away some very pleasant hours in amongst all your steam treasures.

That DJI looks like a terrific camera.
