Yes I am aware of those nice looking brackets, but they have to be machined and I am not a great machinist.
They don't go into detail of how much machining is required.
I have just ordered 4 cast iron small shelf brackets off eBay. I will be able to shorten the legs a bit, cut off a couple of lugs and drill the rod hole exactly where I want it, should look ok.
I will put up a photo when its done
