I've never seen one of these. What is it worth?
About $25 in current condition... I have one with a leaky endcap.
Not surprised that it's a Weeden if found in an antique shop, but that's a special one

If it was an ordinary Weeden, I probably would’ve left it there.
That stove is almost identical to an Empire.

I've seen many variations of the Empire stoves, they seem to be quite common around here (makes sense being made in WI). There's a completely different looking example that I posted on page 1 of this thread
I love this thread!
But, I never find anything in Texas worth posting here. 😂
I obviously haven't gone to as many antique shops or flea markets as Nick but I have yet to see any steam toys any where (except for 1 place and I think Nick told me to check it out!). As judging by the prices, I am not missing much!

I went back to the old posts and yes, those engines are still in those shops!

I used to get in my car and head down towards Iowa through all the small towns and stop at every little shop, haven't found much for keepers, but always get a good laugh at the prices

I cannot count the number of times a dealer has carried a Weeden 14 up to the counter and told me how hard they are to find.
When I first started getting into collecting big ('07-ish) I stopped at a mall in Blaine, MN I believe. There were 3 German mobiles with what I thought were high prices. Looking back they were probably fair prices, but I have never found that mall again... probably long gone by now...
@CBWho there is a very large shop in Burnsville, Antiques MN and I remember a few large ones in Rogers. If you get a chance, go to one of the antique shows at the State Fairgrounds, it's hard for me to get to them with the kids, so you might beat me to the deals

There are very few antique shops in my neck of the woods, and I thought I had covered everything when I told of my two finds (Mamod log wagon, Beggs loco project) in this thread.
Charlie, I sympathize with you, and was about to whine about my relatively bad luck when I suddenly remembered these two finds from over 20 years ago:
Here's a D24, along with everything that came in the box.

And here's a D40, as found in another shop.

Sometimes we do get lucky....
Oh My that D40

I have often thought of getting the all-brass D36 roller to go with this, but I've never seen one in great shape at a great price.
