Mike,
What an incredible find! I have some nice early motors, but still can't help drooling over yours! We may have to have a seperate
forum "early electric motor" category, although i guess the Generator category is close enough.
It isn't Don Gfell from The Kent, Akron Oh. area that you tried to notify is it? I know him from collecting radios 50 years ago. He also had one of the largest collections of Early Edison devices including motors and phonos.

I can’t remember his name at the moment, but I believe he was a professor at Kenyon College.

It was Professor Greenslade at Kenyon College that I tried to contact without success.
I was recently successful in making contact with a man that runs The Sparks Museum in Washington state. He has been the only person I have been able to talk to about this early piece. He apparently has a collection of Daniel Davis pieces and had them appraised back in the 1990s. He said his motor like mine was valued at $12,500 which I think is just nuts! I’ll believe it only if I see something sell for that kind of money. Any takers??😂😂
