Jeez guys....do you know how lucky you all are :)

Thanks Nick :)

Was a long trip for us!

I found my trip report, was fun to read again...

We dropped the kids off at their grandma's in the morning and made it home around noon so we could head out on the long trip and enjoy ourselves. About 12:30 we had the van loaded up with a bed in the back

Probably wasn't the best time to head out as we made it into Chicago right at 5-6pm and were only moving about 5 to 10 mph for many miles... We decided to pull of the road and get some supper to let the traffic die down a little. Afterwards, as we started back on our trip, my wife realized how close we were to the "Shameless House" so we had to take a half hour detour to see that at about 8:45 pm...

I've never seen the show and don't know what the big deal was, but she seemed pretty excited about it

We continued on the long journey and made it into Michigan about 11:15 pm. The only problem is Wyandotte is on the other side of Michigan, so the trip continues...

About 2:30am we pulled into Wal-Mart, 3 miles from Yack Arena. 9am came pretty fast and we headed on over to the show. I really cannot describe how awesome walking into a show like this is... where to start, what to look at, just so much to see!! I found Gil and Charlie pretty fast, they were near the entrance and Charlie texted Bruce and had him meet up over there as well so I finally got to meet Gil after 10+ yrs, Bruce after 7 yrs and Charlie after nearly a year 😀 I was lucky enough to get an old speed indicator from Charlie, a custom threaded Jensen funnel from Bruce and Gil brought me my Jensen 50 balls in a little sack 😄

We must have walked completely through the show 4 or 5 times and stopped by Brent's table as well. I never did run into Bruce again, he must have snuck out early, but we were invited out to eat with Charlie, Gil, Simone and another guy that was displaying by Gil (can't remember his name). Thank you again Charlie for supper!! Not sure when we left, but it must have been sometime around 7pm. We were gonna stop halfway and sleep, but I ended up driving straight home and we pulled back into our driveway at 4:40 am. Was a lot of driving! 1,302 miles and the show in just over a day and a half, but definitely worth it and I will do it again!!

Charlie got a picture of Angie, Bruce, my wife and myself

And Charlie asked if I was a coffee drinker... Nope, Red Bull got me there and back  ;D
