Seeing that tripod engine run was a real treat, especially considering the huge opening into the boiler and the cork as safety valve. Guess they weren't any too afraid of steam toys back in the day ... heh !?!?!?

A proper safety valve would have probably doubled the cost of some of their “half-dollar engines”
