I believe Gil has run his for hours at a time indoors. When I went to NAMES they had a few periods of time where the gas engines had to shut down for awhile for the air to clear    I told my wife not to wear her contacts into the show, but she did anyway because she hates wearing glasses and it really bothered her eyes.
