Bonjour Jim,

I fully agree with you, Zippo gas is awfully expensive so I would kindly suggest you to find this one :

https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=alkylate+2t

No smell, no smoke, the best choice to my opinion (I have no interest in this product ;)  )

Really nice hit N' miss Jim, I like all the special touches you have done to it 😊
I prefer Zippo fluid myself, I love the smell 😍

Zippo can get spendy if you're an engine junkie and run them frequently. The Zippo can's squirt nozzle is convenient, but you still need to add oil to it for the piston ring, so there is limited joy with that feature.

Zippo lighter fluid, Coleman camp stove fuel, painter's naphtha, and 'white gas' are all naphtha products. Coleman markets it in gallon cans for around $20 (or less at some stores) which is a better buy than 4oz of Zippo for around $6. A can of Coleman will feed your engine/s for quite a while, and you'll still have some left for your Whisperlite if you enjoy being bear bait.

Thanks one and all.....appreciate the comments.

I have used this stuff "Shellite" that is available in Australia and its a lot cheaper than Zippo fuel and 'supposed' to be 'Coleman' gas alternative -

Great work Jim.

I use lighter fluid.  I buy a generic brand and it works well and is cheaper than zippo.

I mix in the Marvel Mystery Oil (just a few drops).

I have 3 of Jin's engines.  I sent them to Gil and he tuned them to perfection!

Thanks Charlie, they are a lot of fun mucking around with these little hit & miss engines.
