While I have already thanked Jim privately, I am most pleased to offer my thanks quite publicly right here.
Jim, you are a true gentleman, a great friend, and a terrific fellow steam engine collector.


Without further explanation, I'd like to also thank Daniel publicly.


I will differ on the idea that this event is fortuitous. I believe it simply happened not by accident but by the diligent never ending search that many of us are committed to. This time it was Jim's most persistent searching and his keen eye that coughed up this unusual piece of Jensen history.


While I never knew the piece would look exactly like this when found, I did know it would have a Jensen #50 cylinder assembly because that is the only Jensen piece that measures up correctly for the cast aluminum base.... which I happen to have one of. I knew it came from Tom Sr. but had no idea what it was in completed form.
