Thanks for the replies and advice.

  I was able to remove the throttle valve, soak it in
PB Blaster, heat it up in the oven, fuss with it and
got it to budge just a smidge.  I knew I had it.  A
bit more careful fussing, back and forth, and it came
free.  Of course, I put it back and tested the engine
on air and it ran, smooth as silk, in a heartbeat.
It even runs on my 69 year-old breath power.
 
  I'm ordering a steamdome with weighted S/V and a filler
plug from Germany.  Worth every penny for an engine that runs.

  For fun, and a first steamup, I will be using an S/V from a
Bing engine.  Video soon.
