Wilesco database
« on: July 01, 2025, 02:24:05 pm »
Hi All,

I have just purchased my first couple of steam models and along with building a Wig Wag engine I'm finding it to be a really interesting hobby.

One of the models I have bought came as a project, requiring putting back together and painting etc. I can't seem to find the exact model so don't know the year or the original colour scheme. Is there a database with all Wilesco models or anywhere I can't find the information I'm looking for. The accessories look quite old fashioned so I'd be interested in any info you may have. Thanks

I see a Doll burner on the top, water cup and funnel are also German and older, a Mamod sight glass cover (brass) and copper rivets for it, a Doll/Fleischmann sight glass cover (nickeled) too.

Post your Wilesco, we can ID it ;)

Ah, so it looks like it's actually a Doll. I have found almost an exact match online. I knew joining a forum would be the way to go :)
