The vehicle is a 1920 Buick Tourer one of the many cars that had been imported into Australia in chassis form, then the car's body was built by the South Australian company Holden's Motor Body Builders Ltd which eventually produced the Holden car many years later. The company was founded by James Alexander Holden in 1919 and in 1924 the company became the sole Australian car body builder for General Motors with many brands of cars including Chevrolet, Dodge, Durant, Essex, Fiat and Hudson having been imported into Australia.
