• I asked my son what he wanted for his birthday, and he FINALLY asked for his own steam engine 😂 Went on ebay to see what was available and spotted a newly listed Mamod SW1 with a cheap BIN. As soon as we get a 30˚-ish day I will get a video of him driving it out on the deck…

  I gave it to him in “as arrived” condition so he’s been cleaning dust out of all the nooks and crannies with a Kleenex    It has a vaporizing burner and overflow plug, so it was made between ‘72-‘76, not too bad looking for nearly 50 years old! These really are the best model to give to a little boy because they can have nearly as much fun driving them around and loading the box without steaming them.
