Playing trains at the Llangollen Garden Railway Show.
« on: May 13, 2024, 02:06:17 am »
Hi,

A Mamod I modified was run again for the first time in many years on our model railway which was being exhibited at Llangollen.

Take care Tony.

Good runner, Tony. It seems to run at a good speed without the need for RC. My Ruby used to fly off the track.

After all the "work" you always seem to be doing in building the railways, it is good that you occasionally get to have a run and play on them too!

Hi Jim,

Good runner, Tony. It seems to run at a good speed without the need for RC. My Ruby used to fly off the track.

I don't know if it will help; over the years I have played with a number of Accucraft Rubies. As I was playing with them means there was something wrong with them, the ones I have seen in general were poorly made and put together; though after some tweaking they usually performed okay.

This might help you:-  https://youtu.be/m4dpa8dFpn8?si=pvyI5N3zNgaFII6S

Take care Tony.

Thanks for the video link, Tony. I no longer own my Ruby but I did have some fun with it in the garden some time ago.
