Glad you're here Jon. I love Tees updates!

Thank you Dave, I will be posting more updates as and when but for now these are the milestones that we have achieved since starting in December. 😊

Why thank you they are a lovely bunch (at times😂), as for the railway we ain't finished yet and still have a few more work days before our first public running. More sleepers will be replaced and we'll try get as far as we can with straightening out the track. The next section is quite a rollercoaster, and the worst of the line.

Thanks for keeping up with the updates Jon - you and the other members are doing a great service for not only yourselves but the public in general in keeping the railway alive and running.
Regards,
Larry

The railway and club was on its last legs, hopefully the railway will now be good for another 60years with routine maintenance. There is expansion planned, and hopefully I'll be making a start on my own little petrol electric loco soon. Just been drawing it out last night.

Tonight further work on the turntable, Lee is seen making adjustments to the two peices of track that were cut off the turntable. These will be turned into two lift up sections that is hoped to be operated by a lever eventually. They will locate with the downward tabs which are bent out at about 10° so will be self aligning when dropped onto the track.

Also the rolling stock received a fresh coat of paint in Apple green  three coaches, and a riding truck, the underframe and bogies will also receive a coat of black gloss to make them look all lovely. And the buffers will be painted....well....buffer red of course
We are also discussing recovering the seats in black leather.

Thanks Dave only got home half hour ago, but since the weather was dubious tonight, we decided on doing some other work instead, inside the shed, well actually the carriages were painted outside on the bike lift table bench. Eventually this will be used as a transfer ramp to get locos onto the track from the car without lifting. One of the to do jobs during this year hopefully. Swinging a 7.1/4" sweet william on a sheet of metal on a stack of pallets is certainly something none of us are happy about!!!!!!

Kevin it needed to be done, a trip to Tees Cottage Pumping Station wouldn't be complete without seeing the railway running, and it had gotten into a poor state, which since December we have worked to pull around and make a comfortable ride, and also improve some wobbly bits.
