Thank you, Raphael. The site didn't have my Sieg information, but it does have quite an assortment of interesting things worth a second look.
Persistence and reaching out brought success. Today, in email I got a drawing of the SX1P side-wheel assembly. If I can't locate a source for the OEM parts, it should be manageable to make something similar.
This setup is probably much like the z-lift on Stoker's G0704 mill, but a lot smaller.
