1st vid
What a shame that damage happened in route Bruce.
How terrible do philips head screws look on such nice pieces!
Don't see these very often.....nice! That flywheel has some wobble :(

2nd vid
Well that glue didn't work (permanently at least!).

3rd vid
Soldered now....and ain't goin'anywhere now!
Clever getting it square Bruce

4th vid
Shame about the pump presently, but golly you have that running S-M-O-O-T-H Bruce!
They really are quite elegant and beautiful pieces, if I ever got the chance to purchase one of these in Oz, I'd be all over it.
Your Stuart Beam looks great in the grey, same as mine. So often I've thought to take it apart and paint it, but I really do like it in the grey.
A very interesting drive pulley on yours Bruce.

That was an interesting and enjoyable four part series to view mate :)

I've never personally owned or even had one of these in the shop before Jim, but I've always thought they were neat & it seemed they were always more than I was willing to pay.

I don't remember seeing one on eBay for sale so I don't even have a ballpark figure....but I know it would be $$$.
The owner is going to be stoked with your work Bruce.

Most go for north of $1200 US Jim, I haven't seen one listed for ages (but then I don't look near as often as I used too)

I completed a little more work on the Stuart pump. although the pump doesn't pump water (no internals) the action is now complete. I used bicycle shifting cable from the nodding head to pump transfer, after trying many various wire combinations, this seemed to work the best as far as flexibility but yet firm enough to push the pump piston back down.

Bonjour Bruce,

Great job indeed which would deserve a functional pump, possible if the is not pression to manage.

Ready to take on the challenge  ;) ?

No...lol. the client was not concerned about it actually pumping (where would the reservoir go?) as I stated, there are no pump internals. this was a bonus gift for him.
