I am indeed very lucky, @Paula is not only a wonderfully skilled machinist but also a wonderful person!  I am very fortunate to have her as a friend and she doesn't seem to mind when I reach out to her on my strange requests for help!  I'd like to think she has a little fun too bringing a little item like this back to life.
