Hello fellow Jensen enthusiast.
This Jensen #200 workshop video is dedicated to Howard Shoe, & friend & mentor.
this is a direct replica of a Jensen #200 workshop that although had an advertisement, was never actually produced other than just a mockup model. I tried to faithfully recreate as much as I could between the model pictured in the flyer and the written text on that same advertisement flyer, they differ quite a bit, there was also some changes that just had to be made from a common sense aspect, for instance it was not practical to drive the hammer press & shaper tool from the rather large diameter pulleys shown in the pictures, in the Model #100 workshop they used very small drive pulleys (& for good reason) the large pulleys drove those tools at a frantic speed.
as per the flyer, it does have a 20"-line shaft, 3 stanchions, 10 (adjustable) drive pulleys, a 6th tool (grinding table) a brass plate with serialized No. & signed by Tom Sr. on a hardwood (Oak) base. power take-off line shaft.
everything is positioned similar to the picture given (although the clarity is poor)
this replica Model No. 200 workshop is 5.12 1/2 lbs. 25 5/8" long & 7 3/16" wide on an Oak base. the stanchions were supplied by Brent (Parallelmotion) & are the perfect size for this application.
the drill press proved to be the toughest tool to customized, several hours were spent in its modification. 2nd was turning all those pulleys for use, i had to make a special jig (3 total) for the 3 sizes Jensen offered & then be extra careful when turning.
