This is a great rig and I decided it is time to polish what needs polishing. I got it at the Cabin Fever Auction some years ago.
I know it is in great shape as our friend Monte consigned it to the auction but it will still get a hydro test before a steam-up.
I believe the heaters are for 220 volts but not 100% sure of this. Tonight I wired it up for a test with a meter. Each heater draws 8.2 amps and about 940-960 watts. Together they drew 16.4 amps and over 1900 watts. (This was just beyond the rated limits of my Kill-a-watt but it was up to the task) This was on 120 volts ac.
It has a nice brass hand pump a little bigger than those available from PM Research and Stuart. There is also a great little Worthington Duplex Pump made from Coles Power Models castings. The immersion heaters are beasts.
After all the polishing, my hands are beaten and sore. Nonetheless a very enjoyable clean up.
Here are some pictures.
Enjoy,
Gil
