I'm really getting behind here, taking too long drooling over these great homebuilt accessories - such great work from Bruce and Ola and Carl and Jan and Jim........I'm really impressed!  :)

 This is a Juice Reducer for running electrically heated boilers. Jan (Classixs) took me under his wing and told me the exact components to purchase and when the arrived he drew a diagram and talked me through the building of it. I've had it and used it for years now and its been absolutely brilliant running 120v and 240v boilers.

Hi Rog, its called Merbau some call it Pacific Teak its a tropical mangrove tree. Its resistant to weather and termites and is used pretty intensively for flooring and pergolas etc in Oz.
I like it because it stays straight and doesn't cup or warp and takes a varnish or oil finish very nicely.

That's beautiful wood (and generator setup) - the color reminds me of Padauk which I use occasionally for an accent.
