New model steam locomotive.
« on: May 09, 2025, 02:42:16 am »
Hi,

I have been trying to reduce the number of models that I have as there have been a few suggestions from the household that I might have too many? To this end I have joined three R&D models into one: a gauge 0 chassis, a marine steam engine and a boiler.

The results so far can be seen in this video:

Might be found interesting.

Take care Tony.

Interesting project Tony!

Looks like you are planning a three-cylinder oscillator to go with that boiler, and if that is the case, it would appear that the center cylinder will have to be set up to work opposite to the two outer cylinders.

Am I understanding this correctly?

Testing the engine with the boiler to be used. Yes the centre cylinder crank runs in the opposite direction to the two outer cranks.

Take care Tony.
