Pericaud water lift pump,
« on: February 20, 2021, 02:13:52 am »
Mutter mutter damn and blast
Silly suggestions from some one who, shall remain nameless.

There will 3 and only 3 66%. Brass ones made

Silver soldered together and when the other two are done there will be some hand filing
And cleaning up to do.

Cheers
Dennis

Nice project, the Pericaud pump is a good looking accessory and building it out of brass should make it even better than the original.

Some more progress
3 spouts made ( no photo )
Then highly accurate eyechrometer for 90 degree hole for the spout
Milled then some hand filing

All 3 spouts silver soldered in place but forgot to photo
I will remedy this tomorrow night .
Now the clean up begins to make them presentable

Cheers
Dennis

Yes you would be right
Far superior and the DRO is a great addition.
Bigger and better it makes things a lot easier.

Been doing some the bit I detest.
Finishing ..
I silver soldered because I want life time strength but the nature of silver soldered make excess removal  difficult.
Any way

Not sure if tonight's episode is model making or light engineering.
Time for the base
Small sheet is 6 mm plate brass
Large shet is 3mm plate brass.
Damned if I am going to hacksaw  them so out with 4 1/2 inch angle grinder

Well i learn’t something tonight.
I am a idiot .
Why did i mark out 3 parts when I was going to be using the mill with DRO.
It occurred to me that i only need to mark 1 and when milling note points
Then just follow the points for others .

Anyway a start on bases
